WDW Ticket Price Increase Coming!

It is currently rumored that Walt Disney World will be having it’s annual ticket price increase as early as this weekend.  Single day tickets are expected to increase anywhere between $2-$10+, while multi-day tickets will see an increase anywhere between $10-$50+.  Expect new annual pass pricing and renewals, as well.

Here’s what this could mean for you:

  1.  You already have a trip booked with a promotion applied – Congrats, you’re all set!  You have already locked in your pricing and it will not change.  Continue on with your planning as scheduled!
  2. You have a trip booked later this year, without a promotion – Should a promotion become available for your travel dates, applying the promotion will change your ticket pricing to the higher priced tickets.  Depending on the details of your reservation, you may not see a significant savings.  In some cases, you might even see the price of your vacation INCREASE (maybe a few dollars) when a promotion is applied.  That being said, in most cases, you WILL still see a savings with future promotions, it just might not be as much as someone that booked after the ticket price increase.
  3. You are on the fence about booking an upcoming trip with a promotion – Book before the ticket price increase!  You want to lock in your rate NOW by either placing a 3 day hold on a reservation or a $200 deposit.  Remember, your deposit is 100% refundable if your trip is cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival.  Hello…Spring break, anyone???
  4. You are on the fence about booking an upcoming trip without a promotion – See #2 above.  You can lock in the discounted tickets now, however, should a promotion become available down the road, the ticket prices will adjusted to the higher rates when a promotion is applied.  That being said, promotions are becoming more difficult to get.  If you are unable to get a discounted rate on your vacation, I would rather see you booked with lower priced tickets.  You’re still saving over someone that books after the increase.

The bottom line is, if you know you are wanting to book a Disney vacation this year, go ahead and put down a deposit BEFORE the price increase.  If you want a free, no obligation quote, you can contact me today!  I’ll be working hard to get quotes done for you before we see those prices go up.  I’ll also post on my Facebook page when that announcement comes out, so you’ll be aware!
