Epcot Food & Wine Festival Menus!

With the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival just around the corner, I thought we could actually take a look at what kind of food and wine will be available!

If you aren’t familiar with the festival, here is some basic information:

  • The festival is included with your admission to Epcot
  • Food and beverages from the Global Marketplaces must be purchased separately
  • Dining Plan snack credits can be used towards many of the food purchases
  • Last year, the food booths were NOT open during Extra Magic Hours (we learned this the hard way!)

This year’s festival will feature more than 30 Global Marketplaces that represent more than 20 different countries.  That’s a lot of options!  Here is what each marketplace will have to offer:

I’ll admit that I’m a fairly picky eater.  I don’t like seafood or Asian food.  I also don’t like to drink (much).  That being said, I do enjoy the Food & Wine Festival.  It allows me to try a small sample from another country or region that I might not otherwise get to try without ordering a complete dish in a restaurant and not having many options left if I don’t like it.  This year, I look forward to trying the Florida grass fed beef slider with pimento cheese from Farm Fresh and the boeuf bourguignon from France.  It’s odd that I’ve lived in the south most of my life, and I have only just discovered pimento cheese a few weeks ago, and now I put it on everything.  LOL!

The smaller glasses of wine and beer are also nice for those that want to drink their way around the world and still be able to walk out of the park when they are finished.  I don’t really have to worry too much about this, but I like the fact that I could try a small sample of wine or cider if I wanted and not have to worry about having a full glass to toss if I don’t like it.

I will add a quick tip:  If you are planning on attending the festival, I would avoid weekends if possible.  The festival is a huge draw to locals, and the weekends are when the majority of them will come.  If you are planning several days in the parks, plan Epcot on a weekday.
